Happy Friday everyone.
We are now officially five sixths of the way through the year and the children have been working hard this week to get things finished for half term. it does look like it is going to be a nice one too! This week, we have created our own civilisations in our final write based on our English text Weslandia, continued working on decimal numbers and times tables in Maths, looked at why some animals are adapted to life in water in Science, explored different learning attributes in PSHE, worked on our teamwork, agility and rounders skills in P.E. and showed off our reading skills when exploring our class book The Firework Maker's Daughter in Book Club. After half term, as the children will be entering year 5 and upper key stage 2, I will be asking some of them to take on some extra responsibilities. I would like to train some of them to be peer mediators, they will then be friendly faces that children who have a problem at playtimes and lunchtimes, can seek out to help them mediate and solve themselves. I have had some really nice pieces of home learning this week (see pictures) we have some talented carpenters and model builders in our ranks (parents too!). Thank you very much for these and look out for next half term's, which will be out in the first week back. As always, please read with and practise times tables with your children, the TTRS sheet that I sent out on Monday has half term on it. We will be conducting the official check in the second week back after half term, so please practise, sing, talk about and chant times tables as often as you can! Please make sure that you have a peaceful and restful week as the remaining seven weeks of term will be busy ones, with lots going on. Have a great week, see you on Monday 3rd June Mr F Comments are closed.
