EY Team We had an energetic start to the week, joining the whole school on the field for 'Fun Fitness.' The nursery children were put into groups along with their older peers and thoroughly enjoyed being sporty, taking part and handling the obstacles along the way.
Mean while... on the inside we have been sharing stories in the cosy corner, creating adventures with the story stones, enhancing our communication and language skills with the help of the tinker tray, rescuing the fairies and princesses from the castle, discovering the blossom in forest school, using pens and chopsticks to recreate and putting as much as possible in the water tray on the decking. Still hoping our SOS for pots, pans, and utensils that might be hiding away in the bottom of your cupboard? Our mud kitchen would really appreciate them :) Quote of the week - 'The best thing you can do with poetry is just enjoy reading it together with children' - Michael Rosen EY Team It was an exciting start to the week as our pond life is growing... we have frog spawn, thanks to Philippa Crisp (Rowan's Mum) along with a HUGE bundle of willow for the children to make camps and dens with in our forest school area.

We have been mixing oats, behaving like bears and ordering size and quantity. The fairies moved in with the dinosaurs and we have been very creative with the water colour paints. A great BIG thank you to Oak class for making us some pancakes to taste, they were delicious! Off to the shops, to the ice bakery, Tesco, the beach, to the land of pirates and superheroes. Along with all the travelling we have been creating stories while using scissors to cut out pictures from the travel magazines. Here's a few things the children have said: "You need to take with you swimming costume and goggles for going underwater, we might take a boat so we can look at the fish. Towels because we'll be all wet and need to dry." "We could take an aeroplane we could just go to the airport. We'll get to a big hill and find a Christmas tree. We can then walk down the hill and go into the house and cover the windows because of a bear coming down the street." EY Team |
